Fishing Reports

Our estuaries are fishing well at the moment now that the water is warming up. Botany Bay and along the Royal National Park are great spots to target kingfish right now. Shore-based fishing is getting more exciting as the weather warms now too.

More jewfish off the beach, monster kingfish, and loads of salmon around now as the water warms up. There's even been sighting of a striped marlin!

Lots of Jewfish being caught recently, and good sized fish too. Bigger Kingfish are starting to show up our coast and they're also being caught in our estuaries. Estuaries are firing with typical species like bream, flathead and whiting, and the water's warming up so the shallow water surface bite is coming on!

Flathead are really starting to fire up as the weather starts getting warmer. Big kingfish schools have been spotted with solid 60-80cm fish all throughout. Jewfish are also being caught more regularly now.

Inshore fishing is really heating up now! Kingfish are being caught more frequently and with more meat on them. Land based fishing is picking up now to with good schools of salmon, plus snapper being caught. Yellowfin Tuna are still around just a little more patchy then they have been lately being the end of the season.

Some great yellowfin tuna caught over the last week. The estuaries are firing too with big jewfish, kingfish, bream and more being pulled. Snapper are also plentiful and quite big at the moment.

St Georges Basin was on fire over the last week or so with a range of species big and small caught. Port Hacking and Botany Bay fishing well and plenty going on around Wollongong too.
