Penn Slammer IV DX Spinning Reel

The Penn Slammer IV DX Spinning Reel takes the new standard Slammer IV up a notch, making them the ultimate Penn spin reel available! It has a few key features that really boost the performance and durability of the reels even further, along with a very nice change in cosmetics too.

The biggest feature to be added to the upgraded Slammer IV DX reels is the upgraded CNC Gears (main and pinion gear), which are made of ultra-strong stainless steel rather than brass for extra strength and durability. For a heavy-duty workhorse reel, strength is really what you're looking for and durability is a welcomed add-on, this upgrade covers both.

On top of this, the Penn Slammer IV DX reels also have an extra ball bearing compared to the standard Slammer IV reels that sits under the spool, which gives the Dura-Drag additional support and increases overall reeling smoothness as well.

The other very obvious change to the upgraded Slammer IV DX range is the sleek black and silver cosmetic, a bit nicer on the eyes and certainly matches up nicely on a wider range of rods if that's what you're into.

The Penn Slammer IV DX reels are still built off the proven IPX6 sealed body and spool for fantastic water resistance, and also feature the new hydrophobic line roller that repels water better than previous models.

Penn have also redesigned the Dura-Drag system in the Penn Slammer IV DX reels to not only be better sealed, but also offer a wider range of usable drag. All models feature the Dura-Drag system with carbon fibre washers, other than the smallest 2500 sized reel which has HT-100 drag technology with carbon fibre washers within them.
