Daiwa 23 Exceler LT Spin Reel

The last version of Daiwa’s Exceler range of spinning reels debuted the LT ‘Light and Tough’ Design Concept. Now, some six years on Exceler is getting another major overhaul with the introduction of Airdrive Design. Sporting the newly developed Airdrive Rotor, 23 Exceler is not only lighter than previous generations, but easier to wind thanks to lower start-up inertia made possible by Airdrive Design. The new rotor and bail wire totally changes the previous design and makes the initial rotation of the handle light as a feather. A tough, dependable light tackle reel for all skill levels, the Daiwa 23 Exceler LT is sure to be as big a hit as ever.

• Airdrive Design -  Daiwa’s new Airdrive Design, a four pillar (Airdrive Rotor, Airdrive Bail, Airdrive Spool, and Airdrive Shaft) design concept that reduces weight, and enhances rotational smoothness and responsiveness to create a reel that is next level in both form and function.
• Air Rotor - Lighter, stronger and more balanced than any rotor system that’s come before, ‘Air Rotor’ delivers a great leap forward in rotor design and function and delivers the ultimate line roller support. Made from Zaion and featuring a redesigned arch that disperses pressure to the lower section of the rotor to reduce stressing and flexing, the design is further enhanced with a hollowed out construction reducing weight, while increasing reel sensitivity and rotational balance.
• ATD - Daiwa’s Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.
• Infinite Anti-Reverse - Daiwa's advanced system that limits rearward backplay handle movement to almost zero for solid hooksets with less shock to the reel. The result is the elimination of handle slap-back and the unwanted release of line.
• Zaion V Body - A new generation of Daiwa’s lightweight resin and carbon material. The Zaion V material is both strong and incredibly lightweight.
• ABS Longcast - Compared to conventional spools, the LC-ABS has been shown to increase the average flight distance by approx. 5% due to its reduced weight and modified shape.
• Tough Digigear - A further evolution of its predecessor Digigear, Tough Digigear is Daiwa's brand new digitally designed, machine cut gearing system that ensures ultimate gear precision, rotational smoothness, and strength.
• Screw in Handle - Simplicity and effortless at its finest, a screw-in handle features on Daiwa's mid to high-end reels. Handle removal is as simple as back winding the handle, or forward winding for handle installation.
